Football with Dad

Dad and I spent part of our Sunday evening playing football in the front yard. I loved it and I think he did too.

Rock Hunter

One of my new hobbies I enjoy doing lately is finding "cool rocks". I love sitting under our deck or under our small playset looking at our rocks and picking out ones that I think are neat. I find smooth rocks, rocks with some design in them, some that are unique colors - all kinds and I make a pile of the ones I think are cool. I have even brought some in the house in a bowl.

Ice Cream

Last week Parker's family invited us to join them at the new ice cream shop near our house.  Dad was playing softball but Mom took Bltyhe and I. I got a chocolate dip cone. It was so yummy!

Swimming at the Pool and Outdoor Movie - Check, Check

After having a fever all day on Friday I was happy we were able to check two more things off our summer fun list on Saturday. The first one was swimming at the pool. I had my end of the season baseball pool party at the city pool. Dad took me and we had a lot of fun! I went down the slide, I put my whole head in the water - twice! It was the first time I've ever done it and I did it twice. I watched Daddy jump off the diving board. I though that was pretty cool and look forward to the day I know how to swim well enough that I can jump off the diving board. 

After our pool party I played with friends at home. Our friends, Drew, Cole, Chase and their mom Kelly are in town from Michigan. Parker and I spend the entire day playing with them. We played in the pool, played basketball, took turns riding my tractor, ran through the sprinkler, it was a great day.

The fun didn't end at night time. That night we did our backyard outdoor movie. Dad set up a sheet on the back of our house, brought the projector and dvd player out, Mom made popcorn and my friends and I had a fun time watching Wreck It Ralph, eating popcorn and M&Ms and drinking juice boxes in the backyard.

I had such an awesome day! I was wore out but it was worth it!

Fire with Friends and Smores - Check

One of the things on my Summer Fun list was to have a backyard fire and make Smores with friends. Parker and I had fun making Smores by the fire. Later Andrea joined the fun and Mom got glow sticks out for us to play with. We played hide and seek and ran around the yard until late, late that night. It was such a great summer night with my best neighbor friends. 

Baseball Season

My baseball season is over and I had a fun time. I improved quite a lot from the start of the season to the end of the season. I got better at hitting the ball off a pitch, running faster to the bases and throwing the ball.

I was a lucky boy to have some family catch a few of my games. My Grandma D. came to a game, Grandpa Cota, Uncle Dolly, Aunt Kari, Reese and Flynn came to another game, Grandpa and Grandma D. came to another game and our friends, Dan and Mary Kay came to my last game that Parker's team and my team played each other so they got to see both of us play.

School Supplies Shopping

Yesterday Mom and I went shopping for my school supplies I'll need for Kindergarten. I picked out markers, crayons, scissors, pencil box, folders, glue...all kinds of fun stuff for me to take to my first day of school. I start Kindergarten in about a month!!!

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we went to Harpers. We spent the day at Granny's and then went to Grandpa and Grandma Cota's that nigh to watch fireworks. We did sparklers there too! I really liked watching the fireworks but I wasn't a huge fan of the boom they made. I got used to it toward the end though.

Build and Grow

Last weekend we did something new for the first time. Mom signed me up for Build and Grow at Lowes. Daddy helped me build my project but I got to hammer nails and put the stickers on. I built the Pizza Planet truck from Toy Story. It was a very fun time and I hope to get to go again sometime.

Slip and Slide - Check

Another things on our Summer Fun list was to do a HUGE slip and slide. Last weekend Mom and Dad got a huge piece of plastic sheeting and made a slip and slide for us to play on. Parker and I had lot of fun!

Park and Picnic - Check

One thing on our Summer Fun list was to have a picnic and play at the park. Last week Mom took Blythe and I to Hanna Park for a picnic. After we ate our lunch I got to play in the big sand pit on the diggers and on the big playground there. It was a fun day!

Loose Tooth

I have my very first loose tooth and it's pretty wiggly. It's one of my bottom,  center teeth. My dentist thought I'd lose the one on the top that I bumped into Dad's head last year but I guess not.  :)

Another Movie

Today I went to Despicable Me 2 with some of my friends. Parker, Andrea and I went with Mom,  Dad and Christine.  It was a funny movie and we had a fun time!

Movie With Mom

Yesterday Mom took me to see Monsters University at the theater.  I've been watching Monsters Inc a lot lately so it was fun to see this one.  Mom and I had fun spending time together - just the two of us too.

We got popcorn at the movie which I of course loved.  :)
