Another Peek at Baby Sister

Today we got to go see my baby sister on the screen again. Mom had another ultra sound since last time they couldn't get some of the measurements they needed. The three of us all went again. This time we got to see her face better and they gave Mom and Dad some pictures of her.

Mom thinks one of the pictures looks like Grandpa Cota and she laughs every time she looks at it. The first time she was laughing I asked, "What's so funny?" She said, "Oh I think of these pictures of the baby looks like Grandpa Cota." I quickly asked, "Does it have a hat?" She thought that was REALLY funny! :)

Storytime at the Library - Check

Another thing on our summer fun list was to get to storytime at the library. Since it's been really hot the last few days we decided to go. I had been there before but it had been a long time. It was fun. The theme was outer space. The books the librarian read was about aliens. I had a lot fun and Mom said we'll definitely go again soon. I can't wait!

I also picked out some books and DVDs to borrow. One of my favorite books from the library is All Aboard ABC...that's one I really wanted to get and we found it!

Ice Cream from Ice Cream Truck - Check

One thing on our summer fun list was to get ice cream from the ice cream truck.  We hear the music from the truck quite often but it's rare they actually drive by our house. The other day Mom and I heard it and it sounded really close. We ran outside and sure enough it was going right by our house. So we waited at the curb and they came by. I got to pick out a treat. I chose a "Mississippi Mud Ice ream Sandwich". It was so yummy. On our way back in the house I said, "That was so fun!" :)

Summer Fun List

We made a Summer Fun list again this year. We have a lot of fun things on there to do this summer. I'm excited to get crossing things off of it!

"I know what stuff are"

Mom and I were in the basement the other day. She was looking for some things and I was just looking around at different things. I was over by the furnace and with the air conditioning on it was running. I reached down and flipped the switch off. I said, "I turned it off!" Mom told me to turn it back on and not to touch it again. I asked, "Why?" She said, "because it's not to play with and to  never touch it." I quickly replied, "But I know what stuff are."

"How a boy do it!"

The other night I was helping Mom water the plants outside. She let me hold the hose to water one of our flowering trees. She had told me we were going to water the flowers so I was spraying the water at the top of the tree. She asked me to spray the water at the bottom of the tree - where the rocks are. I said, "Well this is where the flowers are." She explained that she knew that but that plants get their drink from the ground so I should spray the water at the bottom." I continued to spray the flowering blooms on the tree and said, "This is how a boy do it."

That left Mom speechless. :)

Blastball

I started playing Blastball earlier this month. Parker plays too but we're on different teams. I'm on the green team named "Laffy Taffy". The first night Parker's team and my team played each other.

I have a lot of fun. We take turns batting and fielding. One batter and one fielder at a time. When the ball is hit and I'm fielding I run get the ball as fast as I can. When I get it I hold it up and yell, BLAST! If I do that before the batter gets to base it's an "out".

When it's my turn to bat I hit the ball off the tee, then run straight out to the base as fast as I can, jump on it and it squeaks.

I tell Mom and Dad I like batting better than fielding but it's fun to play!

Peek at Baby

At then end of May I got to go with Mom and Dad to the Dr.s office and we got to see a peek of the baby. I thought it was pretty neat to get to see the baby, and we found out I was getting a baby SISTER! I had been telling Mom and Dad the whole time I thought it was girl - and I guess they both kind of thought it was a girl too.

I told Mom and Dad that I think we should name the baby, "Tail." Then I said, "That's a silly name for a sister!" :) They don't seem to taking Tail seriously as an option for her name but I'm hanging on to it....

Summer Fun with Neighbor Friends

I'm having a great summer and love playing with my neighbor friends in the evenings. Parker, Andrea and I love to play baseball, play in the pool, play with race cars, play hide an d seek, run through the sprinkler, and play on Andrea's playset. I'm lucky to have such great neighbor friends!

Funny Boy

I was being a funny boy one day and pretending to be a dog....so I got in Marlie's crate. :)

Mommy & Daddy's Birthdays

We celebrated both Mommy and Daddy's birthdays at home with a special dinner and cake. I picked out a cake for each of them. When Daddy took me to pick out cupcakes for Mommy I saw a cake at the bakery and said, "Oooh she'd like that one. It is the prettiest one." Daddy couldn't say no to that. I was right - she LOVED it!

Soccer - April

In April I started playing my first group sport...4 year old soccer! The first night I was a little nervous because there were a lot of kids. Once we broke off into our own smaller teams I was more comfortable. By the 2nd week I knew what to expect and just got more and more comfortable each week. I had a lot of fun playing. We really only did practice drill each week - except for the last week we played a game. I wasn't too in to playing the game. I spent a lot of time wandering around and flicking my ears with my hands. One week during practice something yucky happened. I was standing in line waiting my turn to do our drill and one of my team mates threw up all over my arm and pants. Mom didn't have any extra clothes for me so we did the best we could cleaning it up, took off my dirty shirt and I just wore my coat. When we took my shirt off I asked "Why am I just going to wear my belly?" But she explained I would be putting my sweatshirt on - just no shirt under. :) All in all I had a fun time with soccer though and am looking forward to doing it again next year.

Here I am!

I always seem to take a long break after my birthday...but I'm back and I have a lot to share. So far I'm having a fun summer and have been keeping busy. I'll be back with pictures and details!
