Visit to Grandpa and Grandma Ds

Over Labor Day weekend Mom and Dad had a project around the house they wanted to get done so I went to stay with Grandpa and Grandma. As always, they spoiled me and I had a lot of fun!

Friday night we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Emily went with us too.

Saturday Grandpa, Grandma and I went to the Children's Museum.

Sunday Grandma and I went to church and I told her we had "to be very quiet in church". After that we went to the park before Grandma brought me home that evening.

It was a great weekend!

Playing with the neighbors

We all LOVE our neighborhood. It's just perfect for me - well, for all of us. There are kids my age to play with, their parents are Mommy and Daddy's age so they get to hang out, it's just been a really fun summer hanging out with our neighbors. Andrea, she's 5 and lives next door. I really like playing with her. We both can be a bit bossy so Mom says we're good for each other. :)

The other night we were all out playing, like we do most evenings. But this time Andrea got Parker and I to play school. We sat there for over half an hour as she was the teacher. Mom and Christine were amazed how long we sat and listed to her. We were all having fun and Parker and I were very excited about the stickers we got for being good in "class". :)

Caterpillar

Mommy and I found a caterpillar outside our garage the other day. Mom said it had been a VERY long time since she had seen a caterpillar and I have never seen one so we both enjoyed watching it. Then the next day it was in our garage and we got to watch it some more.

Preschool!

After a lot of excitement talking about it - it actually happened! On Tuesday, August 30 I went to my first day of preschool! I LOVED it! I was very excited to get going out of the house. Mom and Dad were moving a little too slow for me. I had my backpack on and I said, "Let's go!"

Both Mom and Dad took me for my first day. (They took me to my preschool open house the week before too). I didn't cry at all - I put my stuff in my cubby and was ready to play! It's been a
great experience thus far! I have two teachers and their names are Miss Sarah and Miss Sue.

I noticed at the Open House that my name wasn't spelled right on my cubby, my folder or the birthday calendar. It was missing the "e" so I told one of my teachers, Miss Sarah that it was C-O-H-E-N and she said she's fix it...and she did! It wasn't fixed until the 2nd day of class but it's fixed anyway.

I usually only tell Mom and Dad if we play outside at the "park", what the books are about that we read, if we paint and what we have for a snack. Other than that I don't tell them much about school. I did tell Mom one night, "Sometimes kids at school are sad". Needless to say they all didn't adjust quite as easily as I did. So Mom asked me why I thought they were said. I replied, "I don't know" So she and I talked about some things I could maybe to do help them feel better, like bring them a book or a toy or maybe give them a hug.

It's the third week now and most all of the kids are doing well except for one little boy. He still cries the whole time we're there. But I'm loving it and am always anxious to go!

Rainbow

One evening at the end of August while Parker and I were playing outside, drinking our juice boxes we got to see a rainbow! We both thought it was pretty cool and like naming the colors we saw in it.

Wedding Shower

On Saturday, August 27 we went to Uncle Dolly and Kari's house for their wedding shower. There were a lot of little cousins there for me to play with. But I had to help them with their gifts - I am going to be the ring bearer you know - so it is my duty to help when I can. :)

Splashpad & Picnic in the Park - CHECK

On Friday, August 19 we got two things checked off our Summer Fun List! We went to Tucker Park with our new friends, Joey, Anna and their mom, Melissa. They are our neighbors and they stay home with their Mommy too. We're pretty excited to have new friends to play with during the week! We all had a fun time!

Happy Birthday, Kaylee

Saturday, August 13 we went to celebrate Kaylee's 2nd birthday! We got to drive her Gator around, play with bubbles and have YUMMY cake!

Zoo - CHECK

I guess I'll go back to Thursday, August 11 when Mom, Dad and I went to the Niabi Zoo in the Quad Cities. We had fun! It's a pretty small zoo but I enjoyed seeing the animals and LOVED riding on the train around the zoo. I loved it so much Mom and Dad let me go on it twice. :)

Where have I been?

Jeesh, it's been awhile since I've updated huh? I guess it's going to be one of those massive update days. Now I just have to figure out where to start.....
