Even more Christmas....

It never seems to end - which to be honest, I don't mind! Mom and I went to Harpers to visit family and I got A LOT of presents!

Granny had a surprise for me and decorated her tree in all Thomas stuff she made. I loved it and named all of the trains over and over again! She gave me some great Thomas stuff to add to my collection. I got Cranky the Crane and a track signal so I can tell the trains when to stop and when to go. I also got a fleece coat and shirt, some jeans, some coloring and activity books, and art supplies, a Thomas Fun Kit with stickers and color books, a Thomas reading book and a couple other reading books. I'm going to be busy!

Grandma Cota was out of town but we visited Grandpa Cota and he gave me gifts from him and Grandma. I got a Carhartt sweatshirt, a couple Thomas shirts, some more trains, (James, Toby and Rosie), a DVD and a horsey! Grandpa found it and had the base repainted and fixed up a few other things for me. It's a Wonder Horse and it was made the year Mommy was born - 1978. I've been having a lot of fun riding it!

The next day we went to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma Jones. She had cookies for me! Yum! Later we went to the farm to visit Great Grandpa and
Grandma Cota. I had fun playing with all the musical Santas and Frosty. I had so much fun Great Grandma let me pick one to take home. We had lunch there and then my great uncle, Ron came in from working and gave me a tractor ride! I talked about it the rest of the afternoon. He said I can come back and get another one in the summer! I can't wait!

And more Christmas...

Christmas Eve we went to Uncle Brent and Kari's house to celebrate with our Dahlstrom family. It had snowed all day and all night the night before so we weren't sure if we'd make it but we did. Mom and Dad really wanted to us to get there but didn't want drive if it was bad roads. I slept the whole way up there but they said it was a little snowy on the way up but we made it fine. The way home was another story though and I didn't sleep. I was singing and yelling in the back seat which was a little distracting to Dad so Mom put a DVD on to quiet me down. I heard them say they could only drive 35 on the interstate because of all the snow. I did see a lot of cars in the ditch too. Mom said they just had to stay there because there was a tow ban. I'm glad we got to go because we all had fun and Daddy did a good job getting us home safe and sound!

I got "Tidmouth Sheds" from Uncle Brent and Kari and some trains from Grandma and Grandpa for it. I have been having so much fun playing with them! I also got Candy Land, Kinectimals for the Xbox (Daddy got Kinect) and Toy Story 3 DVD. I'm a very lucky boy!

Today I woke up a little earlier than usual and I wasn't happy. Mommy tried to get me to lay back down. I did but it wasn't long I got back up again and I still wasn't happy. She thought if we all got up and went down stairs I'd be happy when I saw all of my presents. I tried to get excited but it didn't last long. Mom and Dad got me a train table! I had pointed it out in every toy flyer for months and told Mommy and Daddy, "I need that". As soon as I saw it I said, "You found it, Mommy! You found it!" I played with it for just a few minutes and said I wanted to go back to bed. So I did but I didn't say in there long. I got up and wanted some strawberry milk. Mommy knew something wasn't right but fulfilled my request for the milk. It didn't stay in my tummy long and I threw up. I threw up several times over the next hour or so. Every time I'd start to feel sick I'd say, "I want to go back to bed" and Mom and Dad knew to get me to the hard floor or bathroom if they could. Finally I said, "I want to go back to bed" and I did. I just went to my room by myself, closed the door and went to bed. I slept for a long time, got up, came down stairs and said, "I FEEL BETTER!" And I did. The rest of the day I was fine and got to open my presents and play with my new toys. I got a lot of great gifts. I got some new puzzles, a Leap Frog Explorer game, an Easel, my train table of course, some stuff for my Potato Head, some new undies...I must have been a good boy! My Christmas ended much better than it started.

We had plans to go to Granny's, Grandpa & Grandma Cota's and Great Grandpa and Grandma Cota's houses today but of course we didn't. Mom said we'll go tomorrow and have Christmas with them.

More Christmas....

I got my own Nativity set. I wanted to play with Mom's but she told me they could break so I couldn't really play with them. But this one is my very own Little People Nativity Set and I can play as much as I want! Mom had been trying to find it for me but everywhere was sold out. Finally she found a store that had them. I love it! I tell the story about Mary riding on a donkey to a stable, and Joseph and Baby Jesus. I know all about with 'wise mans' and the presents they brought as well as the angel and the star.

I also have been busy counting down the days 'til Christmas. I only have two ornaments left to put on my tree. The last one with the 25 on it is a shiny gold star!

Cookie baking and decorating...

Mommy and I made cookies last night. I got to help make them into shapes. We used different Christmas shapes like reindeer, Santa hats, mittens, snowflakes, trees, stockings and holly. After Mommy baked them we decorated them and I ate them. :) I didn't get much decorating done because I just liked to eat the frosting off my spoon. Here are some pictures!

Sleepover...

Parker and I had our first sleep over last night! It was their first night in their new house and I got to spend it with them. Mom and Dad had the DTI Christmas party and Holtans were gracious enough to let me stay with them. Parker and I had so much fun. When it came time for bed we didn't want to sleep in separate rooms. I was crying "Parker" and he was crying "Cohen" but we managed without each other and fell asleep.

We got to spend a lot of time together lately. Between our parents working on the new houses we've been staying together a lot with one of the parents while the other three get something done - floors, painting, moving - it's been fun!

Polar Express....

I love watching The Polar Express. I watch it several times a week. And by several I mean like 10-12 times. I also like to act out scenes from the movie. I even get Mom and Dad involved. One of my favorite parts to act out is the "hot chocolate" scene. I dance around and serve Mom and Dad 'hot chocolate'. :)

I also love to play the part of the conductor and I would use a prop as a lantern. But this weekend Grandma Dahlstrom surprised me with a little toy lantern that lights up and everything. It's perfect and I love it! I can really be the conductor now and say, "THIS IS THE POLAR EXPRESS!" :)

Ginger bread train...

Today Mommy surprised me with a kit to make a ginger bread train! I LOVED it! I also loved to lick the frosting we were using for glue. :) I had a hard time keeping the candies out of my mouth too but all in all it was so fun to decorate!

Christmas in the Park..

Last night Mom, Dad and I went to Christmas in the Park. It was fun! Layla and her mom and dad came too! We got to go on a horse drawn carriage ride, I saw the Grinch, we heard Christmas music, watched them light up the tree in the Town Square. And, we had to wait in line for 2 hours but I got to see SANTA! On a train caboose! I was a very good job waiting in line. Here are some pictures:

Preston, Layla, Daddy and Me

I'm checking out those horses!

We're so close...Santa is inside that caboose!

A little bit in 'awe' of actually seeing Santa. And, he let me ring his sleigh bell!

Christmas pics...

Today Mom dressed me up in my Christmas outfit Granny bought for me and she took some pictures of Marlie and I by the tree.

"Santa, I've been a VERY good boy this year!"

Pretty good buds!

I thought it was so funny that Marlie was wearing that hat!

Me and my "guys". I love them!

Showing my ornament for 2010. Every year Mom and Dad get me an ornament that reminds them of me from that year. This year I got a train. Are you surprised? :)

And you can see the Thomas ornament Granny made me hanging on our tree too!

Thanksgiving..

We had a good Thanksgiving! This year Mom and Dad decided we were going to stay home. Mom cooked some turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing and rolls. We ate lunch at our house - just the three of us. Then, she made more mashed potatoes, scalloped corn and pumpkin cheesecake and we joined their "Texas friends", Micah, Julia, TJ & Paula, as well as a few others for dinner at the Mogle's house. I always love playing the Foosball table at their house!

Friday Dad and I hung out while Mom got up early to do some shopping. Saturday we headed up to Harpers to visit Granny and Grandpa and Grandma Cota.

Sunday we had Thanksgiving with the Dahlstrom side of the family and I got to go swimming! It was at the "Y" and we had so much fun! I loved the pool!

Playtime...

On Friday 11/5 Layla came to our house to play while her mom and dad went out to celebrate her mom's birthday. We had so much fun and Mom and Dad both said we played together so well. I hope she comes over and plays more often!

Halloween Party and Trick or Treating...

We went back to Harpers Halloween weekend and I got to go to the Halloween party there. It was a lot of fun. Grandpa and Grandma Cota came too. We did Halloween crafts, made a pasta necklace, I did pin the nose on the pumpkin ( I kind of cheated and didn't wear the blindfold), the pumpkin bean bag toss (I kind of cheated here too) and there was a costume contest.

This was the first year I went trick-or-treating and Mom and Dad hooked me up with a Radio Flyer wagon they bought off Craig's List....just in the nick of time. I loved it!

We went to several houses on our street and the next block down. I caught on very quickly on what it was all about, but I didn't want to say "Trick-or-Treat" much louder than a whisper. Fortunatley for me people were generous and figured I had said it. I was loud and clear with the "THANK YOU!" though!

And these were our pumpkins this year. Mom and her friends, Kelly and Christine ended up doing all of the carving. They were hoping Parker, Drew and I would help but we were too busy playing. Kelly did the one on the left, Chrstine's is in the middle, and Mom's on the right.
