Awesome Weekend

I had such a fun weekend! Friday night I played outside with friends. Saturday I played some xBox then Mom and I went to the theater to watch Planes. I loved it! It was really funny.

When we came home from the movie I played outside with Parker in the pool, on the slip and slide and ran through the sprinkler. We played out there ALL DAY LONG! Saturday night we had a fire in the backyard. I roasted a hot dog to eat for dinner. Parker, Bella and I roasted marshmallows and I ate smores! YUM!!

I was ready for bed that night! Sunday I got up and played at home for awhile before we went out to lunch with Mogles and Holtans. After lunch Parker and I and our dads went to Lowes and we made the plane El Chupacabra from the movie Planes at their Build and Grow program. It was fun.

When we got home we played outside in the water again until dinner time. We played hard. It was such a fun weekend!!

First Week of Kindergarten

I had a great first week of Kindergarten. I'm starting to catch on to the rules and processes they have. I'm starting to learn the names of my classmates and making new friends.

I am doing much better with school lunch than Mom and Dad anticipated I would. I ate school lunch every day last week and told Mom I ate until I was full. Mom and Dad even notice that I'm eating better at home after just one week of school. I am not complaining about I get for meals, I just eat them - things I normally wouldn't have eaten or would have taken come convincing to eat. I think it's funny that I surprised them. They think it's funny how quickly I've loosened up on my eating quirks.

One thing I wasn't comfortable with the first few days of school was using the bathroom there. I told Mom was scared because the door locks, but Dad knew it really was because of the loud flushers. He and I have talked about how I don't like those loud flushers. I have a chart for getting ready in the morning with 4 things; 1. Potty, 2. Brush teeth, 2. Get Dressed, 4. Shoes On. If I do those four things without messing around and be a good listener I get a sticker. Well Mom told me on Friday if I were really brave and used the bathroom at school I could get an extra sticker. (I earn a quarter for each sticker I get) so on Friday I was really, really brave and I used the bathroom at school....TWICE! So I got two extra stickers. It wasn't as scary as I was anticipating it to be so now I know it's ok to use the bathroom at school. We have a bathroom right in our room so it's easy to use.

Last week my teacher told Mom I got a little sad on the first day. I did have a cold so Mom thought maybe my eyes were just watering. Mom asked me if my eyes were watery that day, I told her no. She asked if I got sad and I said, "A little bit". When she asked me why I told her, "Because I played with the wrong toys." She asked a few more questions and I told her we were allowed to play with some letter toys but I thought we could play with all the toys so I started to play with some other toys and my teacher told me not those. I got sad because I made a mistake. Mom assured me it was ok, my teacher wasn't angry, I just didn't know but now I do.

We're on to week two!

First Day of kInDeRgArTeN

Today was my very first day of Kindergarten. School actually started yesterday but only half of the kindergartners went the first day, the second half went today and we all will go together tomorrow.

Dad woke me up this morning and Mom had made me a special pancake in the shape of a "K" for Kindergarten. I got all ready for school and Mom, Dad and Blythe took me and dropped me off. I hopped right out of the car and went and stood in the line they told me to. I never even looked back.

Mom did pretty well too I guess. She said she got a little teary on the drive to school but then was fine and got a little teary again as she, Dad and Blythe pulled out of the parking lot. She was alright thought.
She came to school my first day to help in the lunch room. I was happy to see her. She was helping all of us Kindergartners get the hang of getting our trays, how to manage the tray while we got our milk and then how to empty our trays.

Mom said I did a great job eating school lunch. Today I had pizza sticks with pizza sauce, a little bit of my pineapple and I tried my broccoli. I like broccoli when it's cooked but this was cold. I did try it but didn't eat much of it. I did drink a lot of my chocolate milk though. :)

Last Friday we had 'Donuts and Drop Off" at school. This is where we took all of our supplies in, met my teacher, got to see my classroom and then have donuts in the cafeteria. My teacher's name is Mrs. Felber. I really spent a lot of time checking out my classroom. I walked around a couple times to check out what all was on the shelves and on the walls. I put my supplies in my cubby under my spot at the table, got my nap towel and art shirt put in my locker and checked my mail box. In my mail box was a small envelope from Mrs. Felber. It was something special to put under my pillow the night before my first day.

Lost My First Tooth

It was a big day for me today! I lost my very first tooth! It's been lose for awhile but today was the day it came out. I was working on it all day and finally this evening I got the back part all the way out and Mom helped get it the rest of the way out.

Tonight I put it in my Monster Tooth pillow Granny made for me. I'll be anxious to see what the tooth fairy will leave for me tonight.

Mini Vacation

Swimming at the Hotel

This past weekend Mom and Dad took us on a little trip to the Twin Cities. We stayed at a hotel in Roseville. I loved the hotel because it had a swimming pool! We got there Saturday evening and I got to swim right away. We got to have pizza in our hotel room and Sunday we got up, swam some more before we met Matt, Ashley, Kaylee and Ryland at the Como Park Zoo. We had lunch there and then got to go see the animals there. My favorite animals were the gorillas but my favorite part of the zoo was Como Town. There are all kinds of rides there and I got to go on them. I went on a ride where you squirt water to put out a pretend fire, in a big huge bouncy house, on swings that go around and around and up in the air and drove a small car around. It was a really fun time. But I was tired because Blythe woke us all up at 5:30 that morning and she and Mom were the only ones we napped before we left.

Sunday night we did more swimming after dinner. Monday we got up and did more swimming - I just couldn't get enough of the swimming. :) After swimming we headed to a mall to do some school clothes shopping for me. We met the Ranzenbergers there for lunch before we all headed to the MN Children's Museum. I LOVED that place. It had so many fun things to do!

After that we headed toward home but did stop at an outlet mall on the way. I got a really fun thing there...a Captain America shield and mask!! It's so much fun!

Buddies Back Together - and Outside Movie

Two weeks ago my buddy, Drew, who lives in Michigan came back to Iowa to visit. Last time he was here his brother Cole was more like a baby but this time he was one of the big boys and I had fun playing with him too. They do have another baby brother now too though - Chase. We got to meet him for the first time. It's always fun when Parker, Drew and I get together. We spent that Saturday hanging out playing between our house and Parker's house.

We had a picnic supper in our driveway and that night did our backyard outside movie. We also had Andrea here for the movie. This year we watched Wreck It Ralph. I really liked it. Parker, Drew and Cold had seen it before. Mom made popcorn again and we had M&Ms and juice boxes too.

That Tuesday we got to hang out and play again. We did dinner in our driveway again and Dad set the bouncy house up outside in our backyard. I thought that was awesome! We all had a fun time playing on it. It was a bummer that Drew, Cold and Chase had to leave that next day but I'm looking forward to when we get to hang out and play again!
