Christmas Time

I've been counting down the days and finally Christmas came! It was so much fun and I was a very lucky boy.

Christmas Eve Grandpa & Grandma Dahlstrom, Uncle Brent, Kari and Reese came down to our house to celebrate. Even the family dogs came. We opened gifts, played Kinect, had dinner and fun spending time together. I got games for my Leap Frog
Explorer, board
games a suitcase, a movie, an art set, and a ride on JD tractor!

Christmas morning I woke up and Santa had been here. He ate all his cookies, drank all his milk and left me some nice gifts. I got just what I had asked for, The Polar Express train! I also got a few other gifts from him; talking Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody dolls, Monkey See, Monkey Do game for the Xbox Kinect, and some train underwear. In my stocking I got some M&Ms, a train cup, and some sight word flash cards. Mom and Dad got me the Leap Frog Tag Reader system and some books and maps to go with it. They also got me a couple games; What Time is It and Hullabaloo and an ISU football helmet and jersey. I really loved all my gifts.

After having waffles for breakfast and playing for awhile on Christmas morning we got ready and headed to Harpers. Mom and I spent most of the day at Great Grandpa and Grandpa Cota's house while Dad went to the Dahlstrom side Christmas. I had fun playing with my second cousins and playing football with Grandpa Cota in the living room.

Christmas night we opened gifts with Grandpa Cota at his house. Again, I got spoiled with nice gifts. I got some clothes, an abacus, a Thomas the Train calendar, a Thomas paint book and The Lion King movie.

After spending time at Grandpa's house we went to Granny's house and opened even MORE presents. I'm one lucky kid! I got several puzzles, a game, a train, a new hat and a coloring book and crayons.

I got so many great gifts I will be able to enjoy now and for years to come.

The next day I got to see my Great Grandpa and Grandma Jones when they stopped by Granny's. We also went to visit Great Grandma Dahlstrom at her house. I had fun playing with her little dog, Charlie, reading some Christmas books she had, playing with her nativity set and eating her home made chocolate cookies. From her house we got in the car and went to visit Dewey & Danette and their family. I got a cool Buzz Lightyear bath robe from them and had fun playing Kinect with the kids.

We drove home late that night. We didn't get home until 11:00 p.m. On the drive home I was getting tired and told Daddy, "I'm getting really tired!" But I stayed awake the whole ride home watching Peter Pan. When we pulled in the garage I told Mommy, "I don't want to say my prayers." She said that was ok, I could just go to bed. When were walking in the house to told her again, "remember I said I don't want to say my prayers." I was just so tired all I wanted to do was sleep!

The next day I was rested up and ready to play with all my new toys! It was a great Christmas!

New Bed and Train Room

Today I got my new BIG bed! Mom and Dad got me a full size bed since I'm getting to be such a big boy. And not only did I get a big bed, my bedroom is now a train bedroom! I have trains on my bed sheets, a railroad crossing sign on my wall, Mom painted a train above my closet and I love it!

We're going to add some more things to my train room but for now this is what it is. I told Mom it needs train tracks on the well. She said she'll see what she can do.

Tonight is my first night sleeping in my new bed. I think I'm going to like it. It's also the first time I've used blankets to sleep. Like actually have my head on the pillow and covered up with blankets. Three and half and I've never slept on a pillow or covered up. Mom and Dad always tuck me in with my head on the pillow and covered but before they could even get out the door I'd wad my blanket up on my pillow and put my head on the other end. Now that I have a BIG bed...I am going to sleep like a big boy - with pillows and blankets!

Close of up the train Mommy painted
above my closet. It matches my new sheets.

Marlie, Me and the Tree

Today Mom decided to take some pictures of me in my Christmas outfit with Marlie. We did this last year too. I wasn't really looking forward to it but I can be bribed. I love M&Ms. :)

Here's the results of our photo shoot:

Christmas Fun

Saturday morning we got up and drove to Eitzen to have breakfast with Santa! I was sure to bring the picture I cut out of the Polar Express train I want so I could show him. We ate pancakes, talked to Santa and he gave me a bag of treats.

After breakfast we went to Peggy's house to play and bake Christmas cookies. I had fun cutting out the different shape cookies, decorating them and best of all eating them! Mom, Dad, Peggy, Ashley, Kaylee, Grandma D., Kaylee's aunt Laura, and cousin Parker all baked cookies.

After nap time we had a Christmas party with Grandma Dahlstrom's side of the family at Peggy's house. I got a present and it was just what I had picked out - a Toy Story 3 train!

I also had fun playing the Buzz Lightyear bowling with Grandpa and Uncle Dolly, spinning on the sit and spin with Kaylee and playing with all the toys in the daycare room!

It was another fun day! I'm loving Christmas!

Fun Friday - Birthday Part and Holiday Train

Last Friday I had a fun filled day. It started with another fun Birthday party for my friend, Joey. He turned three and had a firetruck party. We played a game called Hullabaloo and I loved it! It's all I could talk about the rest of the day! We also had yummy cake!

After his party Dad came home from work early and we got in the car and drove to Granny's. We weren't there long before we got in the car to pick up Grandpa and Grandma Cota to go see the Holiday Train! It was making a stop in Marquette. It was very cold but I loved seeing it. We walked around looking at the cool lights then we got to watch it as it pulled away. After the train we went to a restaurant to have dinner. I love going to restaurants!

It was a busy but fun, fun day!

Layla's Birthday

Today we went to Layla's house to celebrate her 3rd Birthday! It was a Princess and the Frog theme. I had a lot of fun with my cousins, Devon, Hadyn, Harrison, Morrison and Layla and the other kids at her party. We decorated crowns and wands, played pin the hat on the frog, had lunch, cake and ice cream and watched Layla open her presents.
