My Fourth Birthday!!!

On Sunday, April 15 we had my Toy Story party at our house. I had a lot of my friends and family there to celebrate with me.

Grandpa & Grandma Cota, Granny, Grandpa and Grandma Dahlstrom, Uncle Brent, Aunt Kari, Reese, Holtans, Hersbergers, Parsons, Preston, Layla (Sophie had to work), Rezincows, Ashley, Kaylee, Peggy, Mom and Dad were all there.

We had pizza for lunch, played pin the nose on Mr. Potato head and also had a Buzz Lightyear pinata full of fun stuff and treats for my friends and I.

I got a lot of really cool presents too! I got a bouncy house, a baseball helmet, glove and ball, some Neo Tracks for my trains and race cars, magna-tile blocks, Cars Legos, a hoodie sweatshirt, a Cars mat, some Cars squinkies, 2 super hero toys, a Buzz Lightyear puzzle, a bouncy ball hopper, a bop bag, a big soccer ball, a Brewers jersey, a bouncy ball, a helicopter some Cars from the Cars movie, a train....so many fun things!!

It was a great party.

On my actual birthday, April 19, I had school but my morning started with a balloon on my bedroom door, a balloon tied to my chair at the table and birthday balloon pancakes Mom made for me. SHe also made cupcakes for me to take to to school and share with my class.

After school I hung out a home with Mom. I had to go get soccer pictures taken and after that we got Dad and the three of us went to Chuck E. Cheese! I love going there. We had pizza, watched the singers on stage and played a lot of games. I love playing skee ball. I'm getting better! I also like playing the race car game. With my tickets I got a slinky and Cars crayons.


When we got home I got to open the gifts Mom and Dad got me. I LOVED them. They got me most of the Cars 2 cars I asked for and a magnetic dart board. When I'd open one of them I'd say, "WHAT did I get?!?!? WHAT IN THE HECK?!?!" Mom and Dad thought it was pretty funny. :)

Needless to say I had a great birthday!
 

 

I thought now would be a good time to write about what I'm up to these days before my blog goes into my fourth year.

Well on my birthday I weighed 32 1/2  pounds and was 41" tall. I am a little better eater than I have been. There's not many new things I have added to my list of foods I eat though. Grilled cheese is one and another is cheese burgers. Other than that is grilled chicken, chicken nuggets, pizza, hot dogs, fish sticks, mac and cheese....the basics I've always eaten. I still like fruits and veggies (peas, green beans, corn, broccoli).

Some of my favorite snacks are chocolate chip granola bars, cheesey chips (Doritos), popcorn, pretzels and Mickey Mouse cheese. (Cheese cut into the shape of Mickey Mouse's head) I like apple juice, milk, chocolate and strawberry milk.

I am REALLY into Cars 2 right now. I love to play with my toy cars for hours and hours a day. I play with them inside and outside. They keep my busy. I love to play outside with my neighbor friends. We play cars, play in the sandbox, play on Andrea and Parker's playsets and run around the yard. We ride bikes, scooters and run up and down the sidewalk in the front yard. 

Mom and Dad say I'm a good boy. I need reminders to be a good listener sometimes and not to talk back once in awhile. I guess I'm getting a sassy once in awhile. Mom finds it hard not to laugh at the things I say sometimes but she knows I need to learn it's not ok to talk that way.

I'm still napping about 2 hours a day. I normally go to bed between 8:30-9:00 and wake between 7:30 - 8:00. When I get up I go play in my toy room until I'm ready for breakfast. Then I go tell Mom and Dad I'm hungry and want to watch a show.

These days the shows I like to watch on TV are Mike the Knight or America's Funniest Videos. I LOVE AFV! It makes me laugh the biggest laughs. I also like to pretend I'm the host, Tom Bergeron. That makes Mom and Dad laugh. I love to make people laugh and the more I make them laugh the more I keep going with what I'm doing. I'll even pull some of my funny lines out days after we've laughed about them and it usually sparks the same reaction. :)

I'm still going to preschool 2 days a week. Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 - 11:30. I like going but am always ready to come home when it's time too.

That's about all I can think of right now. I am looking forward to being four and being a big brother later this year!

Fun with Friends

 

Last weekend my friend Drew and his family were in town from Michigan. It had been six months since I had seen him but it was a lot of fun! He, Parker, his brother Cole and I all played at Parker's house on Friday night while our parents went out for dinner.

Saturday we got together for Parker's super hero birthday party! We had a scavenger hunt and made super hero masks. His mom made us each a super hero cape too!  After the party and naps we hung out and played again at Holtans house.

Sunday it was time for MY birthday party!! I'll post about that too!

Easter

Easter weekend Mom and I went back to Harpers. Friday night we had dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Cota's house. Saturday we got up and went to the big Easter Egg hunt at the community center. It's always so fun! Grandpa Cota came too to help me find eggs. After the egg hunt we went to the toy store with Granny.

Saturday night we went out for pizza with Grandpa and Grandma Cota and I saw two REALLY fast trains! I thought it was so neat.

Sunday when I got up the Easter bunny had left me some stuff in my Easter bucket. We weren't sure if he would leave my basket at Granny's or if he would leave it at home for me when I got back. But he left stuff at Granny's. When I called Daddy to tell him what I got he told me the Easter Bunny had filled my basket at home too! WOW! I guess the Easter Bunny decided to leave me baskets at both Granny's AND home. I sure am lucky!

Later on Sunday we went to Great Grandpa and Grandma Cota's house to celebrate Easter. I had fun playing with my second cousins there. We had another egg hunt there and Grandpa and I found more eggs and looked at the cows and the new calves.

 By the time Mom and I headed home on Sunday I was tired! But I was pretty excited to find what the Easter Bunny left me at home. He filled my basket with my favorite "cheese chips" (Doritos), two cars from Cars 2 (Finn McMissle and Holly Shiftwell) and some other yummy treats. It was a great Easter!

 

Marlie even got a basket and she waited until I got home to open it.





Earlier in the week we colored Easter Eggs at home. It was a lot of until I fell off my chair and got hurt. I didn't get hurt too bad but enough to make it not fun anymore.

Early Easter Celebration

Last weekend Mom, Dad and I went to Curt and Peggy's house for an early Easter celebration. Kaylee was there too and she and I got to have an Easter Egg hunt. We both got a lot of eggs and it was so fun! Afterward we colored eggs, had lunch, played and the Easter Bunny left us a bag of goodies. I got the movie Hop, a chocolate bunny and some Reese's Pieces.

 

St. Patrick's Day

This year for St. Patrick's Day we didn't do what we usually do. I did get all dressed in green but we didn't go to a parade or to Grandpa and Grandma Cota's for a party. Instead we stayed home and went to Holtans for a St. Patrick's party. It was fun because I got play with my best friends, Parker and Andrea. That's always a fun time!

Big Announcement

On February 28th Mom and Dad sat me down to tell me something very important. I'll post the video as soon as I figure out how. :)

They told me I'm going to be BIG BROTHER! At first I wasn't sure what to think. Dad asked me if we should have a baby and I said, "Um........no." Then he told me were going to have one. I just had to process this news. I did a lot of thinking and Mom asked if I was excited. All I could do was shake my head no. They then showed me some pictures they got from an ultra sound of the tiny, tiny baby.

Now that some time has passed I'm getting more and more excited about being a big brother. I talk about the baby a lot and ask questions.

I asked Mom the other day how the baby will get here. She explained she'll go to the hospital for a few days and the Dr. will take it out. After a few days she'll come home and bring the baby with her. I asked if I could come too. She said someone would come stay with me at our house but that I could come visit. I thought that sounded like a good idea. :)

Freckles!!

I'm getting more and more freckles! Mom is pretty excited about it. I don't really care one way or another. :)
