Memorial Day Weekend

We went back to Harpers Memorial Day weekend but we didn't stay for the parade this year. We went to a graduation party and Great Grandma D's 96th Birthday.

Great Grandma D.'s 96th Birthday!
We celebrated her birthday with a lot of Dad's side of the family in Postville. We had lunch and then went swimming at the pool in the building where the party was.

I had fun playing with some of my extended family and loved the swimming!

I also got to go to BINGO for the first time and I loved it! Mom, Dad and I went and it was so fun!

Playing BINGO at the Legion!

The next day we went to the Fire Station for pancakes and Grandpa let me check out the fire trucks and ambulances. It was a lot of fun!

May 25, 2014 - Summer is almost here

We're still playing catch up with this. Summer is flying by! We were all very anxious for nice, summer weather to spend more time outside. Once our flowers started blooming and the weather warmed up we were spending more time outside enjoying the fresh air!

Cyclone Tailgate Tour

We went to the Cyclone Tailgate Tour again this year. It was a lot of fun! I wasn't a big fan of waiting in line to get Fred Hoiberg's autograph but I did and Mom was happy we got it and got a picture with him.

He and Coach Rhoads signed my ISU cap. I also got Cy to sign the back of my cap. I thought it was pretty funny that Cy and I had the same jersey on!

Dad took me to play some games in a trailer they had for kids to play in.

Blythe and I also each got an ISU visor. Each year they give out an ISU gift to all the kids. This year we got a cool visor.

It was fun that Grandpa Cota's cousin, Julie and her kids met us there.

Me with Cy!

All of us with Fred Hoiberg.

Mom's Birthday

We celebrated Mom's birthday at home with ice cream cake and gifts from Blythe, Dad and I. Dad ordered dinner in so she didn't have to cook on her birthday. We had a fun time celebrating her birthday and I had fun helping her blow out the candles.

She did something fun for me that day too. I had been wanting purple face paint so I could have my face painted like Two Face from Batman. So, she painted my face for me. I thought that was pretty cool!

Swimming Lessons

I started swimming lessons at Coe. I had never taken lessons there before but I didn't seem to be making much progress with the lessons I was taking at the YMCA so Mom and Dad decided to try something else. I made some great progress while I was there.

Shortly after I started lessons there they announced they would be doing swimming lessons at the brand new school Aquatic Center that recently opened. So I did 4 weeks of lessons at Coe but then started lessons at the school pool.

May 8 - Kindergarten Program

On May 8th we had our Kindergarten Music Program. It was called Bugs, Bugs, Bugs. We all wore fun spider hats we made with the help of our teachers. We sang several songs and each student had a special part to do at some point in the program.

I was a centipede so my group sang a song about a centipede who only had 99 legs. It was a lot of fun and was extra exciting to look out in the audience and see my Mom, Dad and Blythe.

Catching Up To Do

Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm going to get to work on that!
