Hanging out in Cedar Falls....

Last night Mom, Dad, Marlie and I went to Watleroo/Cedar Falls to visit Uncle Dolly, Kari, Reese, Grandma and Grandpa. We hung out at Uncle Dolly and Kari's house and had dinner. I had fun playing pool with Grandpa. Uncle Dolly took Grandpa and I out for a ride on the golf cart and I got to hit golf balls. I thought that was neat!

After we left there I got to go home with Grandpa and Grandma. Marlie was already waiting for us at their house. We are spending a couple days in Cedar Falls before Grandma brings us back home to our house. Mom and Dad are going to spend some time with their friends I guess.

Grandpa said he's going to take me to DTI so I can do some boxing and play table tennis! I'm really looking forward to that!

Boat Ride - Check

So Mommy called and Uncle Dewey was going to be taking their boat out on the river and if we wanted to we could go for a ride. Since that is on our list of summer fun things we thought - why not? So we did! It was a lot of fun!

He took some others out before us so had some time to practice my rock skipping down at Noble's Island in Harpers. I still need some work but oh well.

I got to drive the boat too! Dewey said I was a really good driver! Bailey came on the boat ride with us too!

Fun-filled weekened

This past weekend we went back to Harpers. Friday night we got into to town and headed to Mommy's cousin, Deanna's high school graduation party. I had fun running up and down the hill there and playing with some of my cousins.

Saturday we got up and played at Granny's house and Mom, Dad, Granny and I went out for breakfast. That afternoon I got to go hang out with Grandpa Cota at his house while Mom, Dad and Granny went to do some shopping. Grandpa and I had fun! We had popcorn, chips, played with the toy airplane, played catch with the big blue ball, played trains and waited for the cuckoo clocks to chime.

When Mommy and Daddy got back it was time for a nap. I had to get rested up because we were going to a restaurant to have supper with Dewey, Danette and their family. I had fun watching the fish in the fish tank by our table. After dinner Dewey took me down to the Mississippi river to teach me about skipping rocks. I don't know if I quite got it - but I will!

After that we headed back to Granny's to get rested up for Sunday. I woke Daddy up by saying, "Happy Father's Day!!" Mom and I got ready and met Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Cota, Ron, Brigid, Bob, Kathy and Grandpa Cota for breakfast. Mom and I didn't eat though because we were heading to Great Grandpa and Grandma Jones' house for a family get together with all of Granny's family.

It didn't take long for me to take a tumble. The last get together we had there I ran right into the doorway and got the biggest bump to date on my forehead. This time I was running with some cousins and as usual not watching where I was going and ran right off the steep bank. I rolled down, down, down. Mommy was in the house and Daddy was right there but it happened too fast for him to be able to do anything. Fortunately I didn't get hurt. I had grass stains all over my shirt, a little scrape and bruise on my butt cheek but all in all I was alright- THANK GOD! It's a loooong ways down.

After all that excitement, some lunch and more running I was ready to go back to Granny's and so was Daddy. So we headed back but it wasn't long and Mommy called for us to come back to cross something else off our summer list!

Smores - Check

To make smores was one thing on our list of things to do this summer. It was a nice night, I had a late nap and Mom thought it seemed like a great time to start getting things checked off our list - so the first thing off our list is SMORES!!! We had the Holtans join us too. I didn't enjoy eating the smores as much as I did just the chocolate and marshmallows by themselves. :)

Summer Fun List

We made a list of things we want to do this summer! We want to make the most of the nice weather so we thought we better have some sort of a plan.

Mom wrote up the list and we stuck it to the door we go in and out everyday! I will share with you as we cross things off our list.

Rockwell Picnic

On Friday, June 10 Rockwell Collins, where Daddy works had a family picnic. Despite the rainy forecast we went and had a lot of fun. Parker and his Mom and Dad went too!

They had food, drinks, cookies, ice cream, clowns, balloons, music, inflatables, bubbles, beach balls and give aways. I had the most fun on the inflatables!

We got rained on just little when we got there, then it stopped but then at the end we got REALLY rained on!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

It was Daddy's birthday on the 3rd and we celebrated! Mommy made dinner and Holtans came over and ate with us and she made him a Cyclones cake. I thought it was pretty neat - I think Dad did too. :)
