I'm lovin' this summer thing...

The fun just keeps on coming! Summer is treating me well! Over the weekend I spent some time with my buddy, Parker on both Saturday and Sunday. We hung out and played. I however have been reminded that I need to work on my sharing skills. It's a really hard thing to do but Mom and Dad seem pretty serious about it - that they want me to be a better boy about sharing my toys. Sometimes I can be a really good boy and do well sharing and other times it's really difficult and I start to 'hoard' as Mom and Dad call it. *Sigh* It's tough growin' up.

We hadn't done much all week until today. Mom got the big pool out and filled up. It was hard waiting for the water to warm up before I could get in it but after my nap the fun began! Parker and his mommy came over and we played and played in the pool. And they brought a yummy ice cream treat for each of us! I LOVE ice cream! But while we were outside playing in the pool I had a surprise visitor! My Grandpa Cota showed up at the fence! Mom knew he was planning to be down this week but she didn't know what day so we all were surprised to see him! I got the biggest grin on my face when I realized who it was. Then I had to show off a little bit - just for Grandpa. :)

It was another great summer day!

Fun with Grandpa and Grandma D.

On Tuesday night Grandma D. came to our house to spend the night after visiting a friend. When we got up Wednesday morning we had breakfast and I headed to her and Grandpa's house to have a sleep over. Grandma is on vacation from work and she and Grandpa have been wanting me to come visit. The first day I was there I was BUSY!

We went to DTI to visit Grandpa and Uncle Dolly. Then we went out to lunch, a trip to the park, to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and playtime and another trip to the park! I had fun with Grandpa, Grandma and cousin Emily.

I also had fun riding on an old bouncy horse my daddy used to play on.

On Thursday we weren't quite as busy. I think Grandma and I were a little tired out. We had a quiet day at their house playing before it was time to pack up and head back home to celebrate Daddy and Kari's birthdays and Father's Day!

I had a fun couple of days! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma!!

Water!!

I got a new pool this summer and it is BIG!! It's perfect for me and my buddies....and Mom and Dad too if they want. :)

On Tuesday my bud, Parker came over to hang out for awhile and we tried out the new pool. We had so much fun! Then Mom and Dad moved my slide over so we had a 'waa-er side' and that was even more fun! The first time I went down and slide into the water I exclaimed..."FUN!"

I am looking forward to playing in the pool this summer!

Here's a short video if you want to watch us playing!

Memorial Day....

After all the fun I had with my buddies my fun weekend continued. Mom, Dad and I headed out Sunday morning to go back to Harpers. We went to a pancake breakfast at the fire station. They were so yummy I ate 2 1/2 of them all myself. After that we went to Granny's house to rest. When I got up we went to Grandpa and Grandma Cota's house! We played there for awhile and then it was time to go to a party! We went to a graduation party for my dad's cousin, Ana. Grandpa and Grandma Dahlstrom were there! I also got to see my little cousin, Kaylee and her mom and grandma! I had fun and got to eat chips and cake - two of my most favorite things!
On our way home from there we went to my great-grandpa and grandma Jones' house. Mom, great-grandma and I swang on their big swing. And great-grandma showed Daddy, Mommy and I some tiny, tiny baby robins in their nest. I showed great-grandpa and grandma my muscles! I'll have to show you them sometime. I'm very big and strong! ;) And...when I asked great-grandma for some chips she wasted no time getting me a bowl of them. I told you...I like chips!!!

On Monday we got up and got ready to go to the Memorial Day parade. I saw my Grandpa Cota marching in the parade with other veterans. We are so proud of him! Some of the other things I liked seeing were the horses, clowns and fire trucks. Some of the tractors were cool but I thought there were too many of them. I did get some candy at the parade too - including a bag of M&Ms. One of my FAVORITES!!!

Splashin' with my buds...

I had the most fun on Saturday! Me and my two best buddies, Parker and Drew got to hang out again. Drew and his mom and dad came back to move their things out of their house because the sold it and we had fun! Drew's mom got a pool out for us to play in and we splashed and splashed!

After we got done playing we all had lunch together. Then it was time for us to go home. But the fun didn't stop there! Parker's mom and dad were moving things out of their house the same day so Parker got to come to our house and play with Mom and I while Dad went to help them. We had a great day but we were all very tired!

Planting Flowers...

I was a busy little helper planting flowers with Mom a few weeks ago. I had fun digging in the dirt and "water". My favorite part was watering the flowers with my very own watering can! I have been helping water the flowers almost everyday.

Catching up...bedtime

Wow, I have been pretty lazy in the blogging world, huh? I have so much to update you on. I guess since we've been having such nice weather and I've been busy playing outside I forget to stop in and tell you what I've been up to.

Well, first I'll update you on bedtime since that's where I left off. I'm still giving Mom and Dad a run for their money as far as getting out of my bed. Most days at naptime I spend 20 minutes getting up and coming out of my room and mom putting me back to bed. And at bedtime it's not uncommon for me to play this game for an hour or more. I think Mom and Dad are a little tired of it because they just started a new method. Unfortunatley for me it seems to be working. They put me to bed and put my gate up. I must admit it saves everyone a lot of time and energy. I go to the door, cry a little, call out, "Mommy, Daddy, Mommy, Daddy?", close the door, get in bed and go to sleep. We'll see how this works out and I will let you know.
