Two isn't so terrible!

Today is my 2nd birthday. I woke up this morning and Daddy heard me on the monitor repeating "Haaahhh -peee Birt - day!" over and over again. :) I had a great day! I spent the day at home with mom, but then tonight my friend, Parker and his Mom and Dad came over to our house. We had left overs from my party and had more birthday cake and they sang "Happy Birthday" to me. After dinner, we had cake and ice cream and we all went to play at the park. We had a lot of fun!

Yesterday was my big birthday party! I had a Go, Diego, Go theme party and so many of my family and friends came to celebrate with me. I am such a lucky boy and I got so many awesome gifts! I do have to say though, that my favorite gift was Thomas the Train bath toys. However I don't intend to use them as bath toys...at least not yet. I have waaaaay too much fun carrying the three of them around EVERYWHERE I go, saying , "taaains......taaaains" I LOVE them! A few other special gifts I got was a toy box that was my mommy's when she was a little girl. Grandpa and Grandma had it painted with my name on it. And my Granny got me a train that spells out my name. She painted it herself to match my bedroom. I also got a golf set, a Tag Jr. reading system and some Tag Jr books, a bus, a sprinkler, some roller skates, paints and paint brushes, a book, a Thomas the Train outfit, a rodeo set with horses and cowboys, another Thomas Train, some money, and a pedal tractor! I still need to work on pedaling but I can reach them!

My friends and I had fun playing tee-ball, soccer and basketball with Uncle Dolly, playing in the ball pit, on the climber, in the sandbox and with bubbles!

Here's the stuff Mom is going to want me to write about so she doesn't forget it....

At two years old I go to bed around 8:30 and get up around 8:30 most days. Some days I sleep in until 9 or 9:30. I like to have oatmeal for breakfast - different flavors like cinnamon roll, banana bread, apple crisp, peaches, blueberries or strawberries and cream. It's yummy!

I always take my 'guys' (snugglie and monkey) to bed with me. And I say "I....wuv.....eeee (you)" to who ever puts me to bed.

I'm not a real big eater. I really don't like meat very much. I will eat chicken most of them time but that's about it. Not much for eating hamburger or any other kind of meat. I LOVE pizza, bread, peas, green beans, bananas, craisins, dried cherries, grapes, strawberries and gold fish crackers.

I love getting my socks and shoes taken off, so much the anticipation is almost more than I can handle. I usually am giggling and flinching before they are even off. It's pretty funny I guess. And my toes...well my toes wiggle almost constantly. When I am watching tv, just relaxing or doing pretty much anything, they are wiggling. Dad says I get that from Mom and Mom says she gets it from Grandpa...so I guess I come by it naturally.

Some funny things I am saying now are, "oh, oh, oh-tay", "seat belt on" (this comes from 'Bot' on Team Umizoomi).

I recently discovered Thomas the Train. I LOVE watching it. I still watch Umizoomi, Diego, Dora, Kai-Lan and Mickey Mouse....but right now Thomas is my obsession. Mom and Dad aren't really sure how my love for trains started and to be honest I really don't either but I do love them!

I love playing outside in my sandbox, kicking a ball around the yard, climbing up on my play set and going down the slide. I LOVE Marlie! She makes me smile. I like to give her hugs and throw toys for her.

I act shy when someone new first talks to me but within a few minutes I'm all smiles and thinking they should be talking to me more.

I don't have my 2 year check up scheduled yet but Mom weighed and measured me. I weigh 24 pounds and am between 33 1/2 - 33 3/4 inches tall. My height would put me between the 25-50th percentile and my weight 5-10th percentile.

I think being two is going to be a lot of fun! I'll still be writing about my many adventures. I hope you'll check in on me from time to time!

But they still help each other out

Oh and I wanted to share these pictures. They are of my friend Parker, and our daddies. I know I've posted the older ones before, but just for fun here they are together.

(And nice - Dad has the same shirt on in the one from when we were newborns to the one tonight) :)

This is livin'...

I had another great weekend full of fun. Friday night we met my buddies, Parker and Drew and their moms and dads at The Outback for dinner. After that we all went to the park and played. We all had a great time!

I had to get to bed and get rested up though because on Saturday we went to Parker's house to celebrate his 2nd birthday! He had a Minnesota Twins theme party and it was a lot of fun. I played and played and at a lot of yummy cake!

I had to rest up from all that fun because it was going to be my party on Sunday. I'll tell you all about that later!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Another fun weekend....

I'm having another weekend full of fun! Last night my friend Parker came over to my house and my Grandma D. watched us while our parents went to a casino with some other friends of theirs. We had so much fun playing!

Then this morning I got up and Grandma was still here! We got to play some more this morning! We have so much fun! It wasn't too much longer and Parker and his mom, Christine came to our house! Then, my friend, Drew and his mom, Kelly came to our house!!! The six of us piled in our car and we drove to Dubuque. We boys got our pictures taken and our moms said we were so good. They also said, Roni, who took our pictures was awesome! We loved hanging out with her and Tyson!

After our pictures we went and had lunch. If I do say so myself, Drew, Parker and I were very good boys! Our moms were planning on taking us to a bouncy house place that has fun inflatable things to play on, but we boys were getting really tired and to be honest, I think our moms were too. So we decided to skip that and do it another time. We had a great day!!

After a short nap on the ride home I was ready to rest some more. Tonight I am going to Parker's house with Mom and Dad and we get to play some more! Yay!!!!

Grandpa came to visit...

My Grandpa C. came to visit me today! He had a Dr. appt at the VA and afterward came by to play with me! We had a lot of fun doing puzzles, playing with my train, bus, books and baseball. I love when he visits us!

Tricks up my sleeve....

This is definitely one for the books! Yesterday I pulled a little trick on mom. I locked her out of the house! Here's what happened. She was making dinner and I was watching a cartoon. She had chicken on the grill and went out on our back deck to flip it. It was going to take no more than 15 seconds but.....as soon as she went out I flipped the lock on the screen door. She went to come back in and there I stood grinning at her through the door. You see normally this wouldn't be too big of a deal but at this particular time it was.

We have a keypad garage door opener outside that usually works but mom had to get her car fixed a couple weeks ago and had a rental car. Mom's car has a garage door opener built in that you program to work with your garage door. Dad has a control in his car and there is a third control that wasn't working. When Mom had the rental she tried to get the third control working and when she did that she cleared the programming for the keypad opener and the one in her car. Neither her or Dad had taken the time to re-program it yet so that was out.

An extra key? Again, usually Mom and Dad have an extra key hidden outside but the old hiding spot was stuck under the grill. Well we recently got a new grill and gave our old one away. But before we gave it away neither Mom or Dad thought to take the extra key out from underneath the grill....so no key hidden outside.

She gave it her best attempt to get me to unlock the screen door - I had no idea what she was saying and shut the inside door. She knew I couldn't open that by myself so she had to come up with a new plan. It was about the time Dad would usually be coming home from work but he had a meeting to go to and she wasn't sure when he'd be coming.

It had been raining all day and she was outside barefoot so she ran through the muddy, wet grass to the neighbors house. Our next door neighbor, Aaron came out to try and help Mom get back in the house and he let Mom use his cell phone to call dad. After a few unsuccessful ideas Aaron went to the front of the house to see if a window was open. None were open but one was unlocked. He popped the screen off, slid the window open and I was right there to greet Mom, Aaron, his wife and son with the biggest grin on my face as if I was saying "How did you like that trick?" :)

Mom really wasn't too worried about me getting into any trouble in there, she said I'm usually a pretty good boy, but she just wasn't sure what to do.

I was out, Dad came home shortly after that and dinner was served. :)

Happy Easter!

This past weekend we headed back to Harpers and celebrated Easter! Saturday morning I got to to go to another Easter Egg hunt. I did get more eggs but I had to be 'encouraged' to pick them up and put them in my bucket. I also got a Spiderman beach ball as a prize there. My cousins, Mercadees and Kaylee came too!

Cohen, Kaylee & Kaylee's cousin, Parker R.

After the Egg Hunt I got to play at the park with Mom and Grandpa C. After all that fun I was ready for lunch and a nap! I got rested up and Mom, Dad and I headed to my Great-Aunt Peggy's house. But first we had to stop in and see Great-Uncle Curt's garage/cabin project he's working on. I got to sit up on the 4-wheeler while we there but didn't get to ride on it. Dad said it would make Mom nervous. Mom never said that, but I guess I'll go along with what Dad says. I didn't mind. It was fun to just sit on it.

The real fun started though, when we got to Curt and Peggy's house! They have the biggest room full of toys! Mom said Peggy has kids come to her house and stay while their mom's and dad's go to work so she has all kinds of fun things to play with. I had a lot of fun there. And, I also got to play with Kaylee and a new toys she got for Easter and a bus that Peggy let me borrow for a while and play with at my house!

Sunday I got up and the Easter Bunny had been to Granny's house. He brought me a basket full of fun things. I got a baseball glove and baseball, sidewalk chalk, a new pair of sunglasses, crayons, Handy Manny coloring book, a toy bus, Peeps, and two eggs with candy in them.

I also got an Easter book from Grandpa and Grandma D., alphabet, number and shape flash cards, a puzzle and a Diego activity book from Granny, a white chocolate bunny and jelly beans from Grandpa and Grandma C., and a bag of goodies from Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Cota. I got SPOILED!

Mom tried to get me to eat one of the Peeps but I wasn't even going to think about it! That doesn't look like food! No thank you! I'll stick to the M&Ms.

I hope you had a great Easter as well!

I love it outsiiiiide....

I do and I got to spend most of my day today out there playing. I even got to wear shorts it was so nice out! It got around 80 degrees. Funny thing is my shorts that are size 12 months fit me better this year than they did last year. What can I say? I'm a runt! Later in the day I also got to try out my new sandals. I wasn't too sure about them at first but I eventually got used to them. I also was sportin' my shades today. I'm such a cool guy. :)

Oh and Mom and I went to Hy-Vee and I got to see the Easter Bunny again. I still wasn't going to sit on his lap, but I did give him a high-five, just like last time. No pictures again...but that's ok. Maybe I'll be brave enough next year. :)

I hope you got to enjoy the nice day we had today!
