Can you believe it? I guess I can, but mommy can't. She never can wrap her head around how fast I'm growing though, so that's really not new information. So, yes, 5 months ago today I made my entrance into this big, wide world. And let me tell you, it's been a wonderful adventure so far. I think this post might get kind of long, so bear with me.
Some new things that have taken place over the last month....lets see, I started rice cereal when

I was 4 months, and have taken a liking to it. I know when I get in my high chair good things are about to happen! Those good things recently spread to sampling of baby food mommy made for me. I just started trying some a couple days ago and let me tell you....I'm a HUGE FAN!! So far I've had green beans,

squash and bananas. With the green beans, at first I made a little funny face because I wasn't sure, but then I liked them. Squash....loved it from the first bite, same with bananas. Mommy said she also made sweet potatoes, pears, apples, and peaches. I can't wait to try those too. Oh, and I just "chill out" in my high chair. I like to put my feet up, sit back, relax and take in the grub.
Eating habits - I'm still eating 6 bottles a day, 3-6 oz at a time. I'm just not a very big eater. And now I'm getting a vegetable once a day and a fruit mixed in my cereal once a day.
Sleeping habits - I'm still a good sleeper. I recently started sleeping 11 hours, where I was sleeping 12 but mom and dad aren't complaining. They still know how lucky they are! Naps, I usually am awake for about an hour in the morning and I'm ready to get back in bed, and then it's about 2 hours I'm up and I sleep 1 - 2 hours. That cycle repeats itself throughout the day.

I'm rolling all over the place now. I go back to front, front to back and back again. I do think if I keep doing this in the same direction I might be able to get somewhere. Yesterday mommy had me on the floor and I can scoot myself around a little bit, that combined with rolling got me about 2 feet from where I started. I think I'll have it perfected soon! I also do some rolling in my crib. When I get put down I usually roll right over to my belly and that's how I stay. I scoot all over in there, sometimes turning myself completely around, but always on my belly.
My feet are fun! I told you how I discovered them in a previous post, but I'm still having a lot of fun with them. And, I'm really working on sitting up. I want to so much, I'm just not quite stable yet. Mommy was sitting on the floor with me and I did sit on my own for a few seconds....it's a start! I bet by next month I'll have big news to report on that.
Daddy does "walking exercises" with me every night. That's what he calls them...not me! He holds me up and we take a short trip around our living room. I really stand tall and know to put one foot forward at a time. Sometimes - like when I see my puppy and I want to get there quicker, I start to pull both feet forward and jump over there. I think I'm pretty big stuff when we do this, I hold my head high and look really, really proud!
I still love my bath. I recently graduated from getting them in my tub on the counter to getting them in the big bath tub. My first one I was still in my tub in the big tub, and I probably will be for the next few as well, but mom said it probably won't be long and I'll just be in the big tub....whoa...bring on the bath toys! I still love my jumperoo and exersaucer. Mom thinks my bouncy seat is about to retire. The swing still is fun when I'm tired and just want to relax, but yet do something. Otherwise I like to be active.
Oh! And, mom and dad don't let me watch much tv at all, but I do get to watch either Thomas and Friends, or Go, Diego, Go once a day. I really like them both.
Yesterday mommy and I spent some time outside. It was a nice warm day with big puffy white clouds to block the sun most of the time, so it was perfect for me. We went for a short walk and then just sat out there for awhile while mommy did some cleaning up of her flowers. When daddy got home we took another walk down to a park that's not far from our house but they didn't have any baby swings we just walked back home. Tonight we're going to try another park that is close by and hopefully they'll have some. I really want to try them out. I'll keep you posted on that.

I have always liked our dog, Marlie. But over the last month, I have become facinated with her. I will turn my head every possible direction to follow her wherever she goes. I reach my hands out to touch her anytime I am somewhat close to her. I like to reach for her mouth and ears the most. Mom and Dad are careful to not let me pull too hard on her, but they said she also needs to get used to me doing that....because I probably will do a lot more of it. Marlie is always very good to me. She just gets a look on her face like...."ok, kid...really....is this necessary." Then she looks at Mom or Dad like, "would one of you do something?" Eventually when she's had enough she walks away, and I whip my head around to watch her. I still think we're going to have a lot of fun together.
Oh, mommy could tell by my clothes that I had really grown this past month so she weighed and measured me and I'm about 27 inches long (according to the chart that's 75-90th percentile). When mom weighed me the scale kept going between 14 and 15 pounds...so, we're going with 14 1/2 pounds as an approximation. One pound can make quite a difference on a little guy like me, and it's hard to get the percentile when we don't know for sure where I fall, but 14 1/2 pounds puts me between the 10-25th percentile. I'm still a munchkin.
And, I know I've posted about this in the past, but it's one of the most exciting things that happened to me in the last month. MY YUCKY TONGUE CLEARING!!! Yea!!!
Well that's me in a 5 month nutshell. I can't think of anything else that's changed in the past month.
On another 'crib note', I said an extra "thank-you" prayer for keeping my Grandpa C. safe. He had an accident at work on Wednesday and fell off a ladder. He fell onto his head and got knocked out so an ambulance took him to the hospital to make sure he was ok. All of his tests on his head and neck came out ok. He still hurts from the fall, but we are so very thankful that he did not get hurt any worse!
Well, I hope you enjoy the pictures and my extra-long 5 month post. Have a great day!
(Here are some random pics too)

I concentrate really hard when I'm trying to
grab things.Mom, you have to tell me before you're going to snap the picture so I can be ready! Geeesh!
